Janette Robinson Flint
As a founding member of Black Women for Wellness, Janette holds the executive director position. In her words:
My work in the health field began as an advocate during my pregnancy, as I was seeking a holistic practitioner to work with my concept of a gentle birth. Today, I am part of the Los Angeles Reproductive Justice Coalition, the California Coalition for Reproductive Freedom, and the National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda. My journey has followed a path that included work with the Birthing Project USA, Los Angeles; Great Beginnings for Black Babies; National Health Foundation; March of Dimes; California Primary Care Association; Inglewood Healthy Mothers and Babies; South Los Angeles Health Project; and Women, Infant, and Children, South Los Angeles advisory board programs.
