A recent AAMCNews article explores the AAMC Center for Health Justice’s Principles of Trustworthiness initiative.
The article examines why it is important that we authentically and humbly engage communities to demonstrate we are worthy of trust, build collaborations, and create an aligned agenda for better health.
Working with our community partners across the country, the center released the Principles of Trustworthiness in May 2021. The 10 principles and a trustworthiness toolkit were co-developed by community stakeholders as a guiding compass for organizations to use in establishing trust among members of their communities.
We urge organizations to use these materials — which include an activity discussion guide — while developing broad coalitions in their own communities.
