Dr. Simon Linwood is chief information officer of University of California, Riverside (UCR) Health and UCR School of Medicine. He has over 20 years of information technology (IT) and data leadership experience in health care. To transform the IT department at large academic medical centers, he developed a formula for success: “digital leadership = delivery × (data + artificial intelligence) × ethics.” Prior to his role at UCR, he was IT leader at Duke University Medical Center, Northwestern University, Marshfield Clinic Health System, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Dr. Linwood has authored over 150 publications and trained more than 70 students. He brings a visionary, collaborative, and data-driven approach to digital innovation and AI transformation in health care.
