Initiatives to Build Trust with Communities: The Principles of Trustworthiness

The December 15 issue of Catholic Health World highlighted efforts by the AAMC Center for Health Justice, other associations, and Catholic health providers to develop healthy and trusting relationships with their communities. The article featured the Principles of Trustworthiness, a guiding compass for organizations from any sector to demonstrate trustworthiness to their communities. "We thought it was important to change that paradigm and say, it's not about building trust or convincing folks to trust, it's really about showing that we are worthy of trust," said Philip Alberti, PhD, AAMC Center for Health Justice Founding Director.
